12th April 2009 the Sunday is DASTAR DAY. This day is being celebrated in Stockton Gurdwara Sahib. Volunteer Singhs will DISTRIBUTE FREE DASTARS (TURBANS). There is an arrangement to distribute free DVDs also. This DVD strives upon the importance of DASTAR and helps to learn how to Tie a Turban. The volunteers will continue this free turban distribution service whole week e.i. until 18th of April 2009 among the men and women (a part of Guru ki Sangat).

11th Annual Nagar Kirtan will be held in Stockton Gurdwara Sahib on Sunday the 19 April 2009.

1. Raagi Jathe: The following Ragi Jathe will start Kirtan Sewa from 4th week of March 2009 .

                           1. Bhai Manjit Singh Gurmit Singh ‘Pathankot wale’ and

                           2. Bhai Sarabjit Singh ‘Ladi’ Sabka Hazoori ragi, Siri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar Sahib. 

2. Kathawachk: World known sikh scholar Bhai Pinderpal Singh ji Ludhiana wale will be with us soon.

   More information about other jathas, sikh scholars, and other prominent figures will  be     posted soon.

4th annual ‘GURBANI KANTH MUKABLE’ for children age 3 to 18 years will be beld in Stockton Gurdwara Sahib on SATURDAY the 17th October 2009 at 8:oo AM to 5:00 PM.

All communities from California are invited to help and support their children memorize maximum Gurbani, Gur-Itihaas, (Gur-History), Sikh History and other general knowledge questions and their answers on the subjects stated above. We will post here conperhensive information on this site soon.

Gursikh families are invited to post their suggestions and comments in “Comments” section. Yours suggestions will help us to develop this program and add more information, which should bring our children more and more close to sikhism, Gurbani and our sikhi “JEEVAN JAACH.” Please come forward and send your valuable ideas and thoughts to promote this project.
